Chennai: Tamil Nadu CM Stalin felicitating Perarivalan, one of the convicts of Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, after his release from prison is not right for the nation, said Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday. He also said that felicitating the 'assassins' is not part of India's culture.

According to ANI, former Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said, "Everyone knows the politics of Tamil Nadu. Rajiv Gandhi was a national leader and he sacrificed himself. He was assassinated in Tamil Nadu. So if CM felicitates his assassins then I think it's not our culture."

"If someone drafts a new dimension like this then it's not right for the country," he said.
