More than 100 farmers from Tamil Nadu convened at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi and staged a protest against the Central government regarding crop prices and the interlinking of rivers. The demonstration which started on Tuesday continued for the second day with protestors bearing skulls and bones of farmers who reportedly died by suicide.
According to ANI, Tamil Nadu farmers climbed atop mobile tower as they protested at Delhi's Jantar Mantar over their various demands.
The police used fire brigade crane to bring back one of the protesting farmers.

Talking to PTI, a protesting farmer said, "We demand two-time profitable prices of the crops, pension of Rs 5,000 to farmers, individual insurance, and also interlinking of all rivers in India."
The farmer said that 100 people have come from Tamil Nadu. They threatned that if their demands were not met they would contest against PM Modi in Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency. Ayyakannu clarified that the farmers are not opposed to the PM or aligned with any political party but they simply seek his assistance, as per a report on India Today.
Meanwhile, farmers staged a rail roko on the sixth day of the protest in Ludhiana on Monday. The Samyukta Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha have been staging a protest on railway tracks in Shambhu for quite some time now.
The farmers also demanded the release of three farmers arrested by Haryana police.
