Chennai: DMK MP TR Baalu demanded the Centre to recall Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi from his post at the Parliament on Tuesday. The MP demanded even as DMK MPs raised slogans in the well of Lok Sabha urging the removal of the Governor since he has reportedly kept seven Bills passed in TN Assembly as pending in the state. 


In a visual from Lok Sabha TV, TR Baalu said, “Ever since MK Stalin took over governance, more than seven Bills have been passed and sent to Governor for him to send it to President for his assent. However, he has not sent even one bill to President for assent.”


Immediately, TR Baalu was intervened by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla who said that the issue was a state matter and should not be discussed in the Parliament.

However, TR Baalu interrupted him and said, “Are we running a jungle raj? We are not running a jungle raj. However, everything is kept in cold storage of Governor’s bungalow.”


During the same time on Tuesday, Tamil Nadu CM Stalin met TN Governor Ravi at Raj Bhavan in Guindy. According to ABP Nadu, the CM met Governor to discuss about sending the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) Bill passed in TN Assembly to President Ramnath Kovind for seeking his assent.


The CM is also expected to discuss issues about administration and place demands to release funds ahead of budget on Friday.

The CM was accompanied by Ministers Ma Subramanian, Ponmudi, Duraimurugan and TN Health Secretary Radhakrishnan.
