Chennai: Within five months after forming the government in Tamil Nadu, the DMK government has fulfilled 202 out of 505 promises that were made during the election campaign, said Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Sunday.
The announcement was made when Stalin was interacting with the voters of nine districts that go for rural local body elections on October 6 and 9 in the state.
According to a report in IANS, the Chief Minister said that the previous AIADMK government had not fulfilled all the promises that were made to the people of Tamil Nadu even though it stayed in power for ten years from 2011 but DMK has always been thinking about the people.

Stalin requested the public to vote for the party in the upcoming rural local body elections just like how they had voted for them in the state assembly elections and made them win the polls.
You had voted for us with the hope that we would fulfill all the poll promises and made me Chief Minister and now, I am working for you and fulfilling the promises, he added, as reported by IANS.
Quoting the Chief Minister, the report said that the government had introduced several schemes in a short period of time and would come up with several more schemes. Explaining that the government schemes reach the public through local bodies, he said that victory in local body elections was important for the implementation of the schemes.
