Coimbatore: Displaying an incredible sense of fine art, a micro artist who is a resident of Coimbatore has surprised everyone by chiseling the names of 48 Asian countries on the tip of the pencil.


Earlier in April this year, 21-year-old R. Sneha from Kuthambakkam, Tamil Nadu, set a record by engraving the names of 195 countries and their capitals on the tip of a pencil using different 195 pencils. Another artist Alvin from Vellangallur in Thrissur showcased a similar pencil art last year during the lockdown.


Carved records on the pencil tip during the pandemic


When many were brooding over the lockdown last year, Rajesh KR who is an art teacher by profession carved the names of 16 National Film Award-winning Malayalam actors on 16 different pencil leads. Rajesh creatively used his time and started carving best actors' names on pencil graphite when the lockdown was in force across the country in 2020.

He finished sculpting names by the time the second wave of Covid-19 hit the country. His work in carving out the names of 16 National Award-winning actors, has earned him a few records to his name.
