New Delhi: The urban local body polls in Tamil Nadu is all set to take place in a single phase on February 10. Ahead of the elections, an AIADMK candidate, Abishek Rangasamy, contesting the polls from ward number 110, has prepared a resume, detailing his academic qualifications, political timeline, the honorary posts held and his set of skills.
Personal profile
The 33-year-old AIADMK candidate was born on September 7, 1989 in Nungambakkam, Chennai. Abishek went on to complete his schooling from Don Bosco in the year 2007, did his graduation from Velammal English College, acquiring a B.Tech degree in IT in 2011, and Bachelor of Laws from Dr Ambedkar Govt Law College in 2017.
Political Timeline
Rangasamy started his political career with AIADMK in the year 2008. In 2017, he became the assistant district deputy secretary of MGR Youth Wing in south Chennai. In 2020, Rangasamy became the district secretary of MGR Youth Wing in south Chennai and in 2022, he became the ward councillor candidate for ward 110.

Another Kannan from Sivaganga Road, Sterling Road, said, “Abishek is someone who believes in speaking the truth no matter what may be the issue. He believes honesty is the core of leadership in any organization. He motivates the people around him through his honesty and integrity.”
There have been other feedbacks that highlight Abishek as a pro-active problem solver with positivity and an empathetic and rightful outlook.
Notably, a total of 74,383 candidates have filed their papers to contest in the 12,826 posts across 21 corporations, 138 municipalities and 490 town panchayats in the upcoming Tamil Nadu urban local body elections.
