Chennai: Tamil Nadu police arrested a 52-year-old man for raping three minor girls at his house near Avinashi in Tiruppur district. The accused tracked and raped the three minors who were playing on the road last month.
According to a report on The Hindu, the man raped two sisters aged five and seven years and another girl who was 10 years old.
Further, the elderly man was an employee at a clothing company in Coimbatore and he has a daughter who got married recently.
On April 24, the man invited the three kids who were playing on the road to his home and sexually abused them. He also reportedly threatened the children to not reveal about the incident to their parents.

However, the issue came to light after the siblings opened up about the crime to their parents. Following this, the mother of the siblings moved All Women Police Station in Avinashi on Sunday.
Based on the complaint, the police booked the accused under charges including penetrative sexual assault and aggressive penetrative sexual assault of POCSO Act and criminal intimidation of Indian Penal Code.
The police also held inquiries with all the minors and sent them to Tirupur GH for medical examination which confirmed the rape.

The Avinashi AWPS team led by Inspector Saraswathi arrested the accused. Later, the accused was remanded into judicial custody on Sunday.
