Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin charged BJP-led Central government of being made up of 5Cs including corruption and communalism in the second episode of his podcast "Speaking For India". The CM said that the befitting description of the Centre would made up of 5Cs — Communalism, Corruption, Corporate Capitalism, Cheating, Character Assassination. In the second episode of "Speaking For India", Stalin started his speech by sharing an anecdote and later went on to list out the alleged scams carried out by the BJP-led Central government as mentioned by the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG report).
Initially, Stalin said, “Recently, a social media post went viral. The post was about a mother asking that CM gave Rs 1,000 but what happened to PM's promise of Rs 15 lakh?"
"As deceived in 2014, as deceived in 2019, our country should not be deceived in 2024,” the CM said, listing out the two years BJP won the Lok Sabha elections.
Before the 2014 elections, CM said that Gujarat was falsely projected as a "haven of prosperity" and PM Modi was ‘falsely’ projected to be the beacon of development.
Earlier, PM Modi said people gave 60 years to Congress but 60 months for BJP would be enough to change India's future. However, two terms were given to him but has he made India a developed country, he asked.
According to him, Stalin said that the current BJP government is made up of 5Cs. He said, "Those were Communalism, Corruption, Corporate Capitalism, Cheating, Character Assassination. This would be the befitting description."
The newly formed I.N.D.I.A has torn down BJP's facade, PM Modi's pomp and show, he said adding that the alliance leaders were not just saying this for political gains but even CAG report proved that they have been sharing "factual insights".
Even in the Ayodhya project CAG report has shown that the BJP was corrupt, he said.
Further, CM listed the scams flagged in the CAG report including UDAN, bharatmala, Ayushman Bharat and toll plaza schemes."That's the reason why Modi takes on different kinds of politics to misdirect the people. All the people of India must unite as one voice to put an end to the BJP's communal, divisive, authoritarian and corporate-driven politics," he said.
