TN Govt Vs Guv On Senthil Balaji HIGHLIGHTS: TN CM Stalin To Write A Reply To Governor, Says Minister Thennarasu
Governor RN Ravi sent another letter informing that the order will be on hold until further communication.
DMK MP and senior advocate P Wilson said, "It is an affront to the Constitution. He (Governor) doesn't want to conduct himself in accordance with the Constitution. So, the CM has rightly disregarded his letter. He has rightly shown it the place where it has to be...He says that the Home Minister has told him to get advice from the Attorney General. One need not get advice from the Attorney General if you read Article 164 of the Constitution, that itself is sufficient."
Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai said, "We have all seen that Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi issued the dismissal order of Minister V Senthil Balaji and later kept it in abeyance...MK Stalin as an opposition leader wanted the Governor to dismiss a leader from AIADMK and now he calls this (dismissal order of Minister V Senthil Balaji) a constitutional crisis."
Congress leader Manish Tewari on V Senthil Balaji's dismissal order said, "President should immediately remove TN Governor RN Ravi".
The Governor sacked Senthil Balaji from the cabinet and later after the outburst he said the decision to sack Senthil Balaji is 'abeyance' until further communications.
On DMK leader V Senthil Balaji, Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said, "More than going into the technical nitty gritty, do we want to have some, morality in the public life or not? Nobody could imagine that a person after some charge has been made against him and the matter is in the court will continue as a minister. I am not going into the legal aspect as I am not aware. If some suspicion has been cast then first let them get their name cleared and be there."
DMK MP NR Elango said, "Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi issued the dismissal order of Minister V Senthil Balaji and then kept it in abeyance. The Governor has no such power (to dismiss a minister), what he has done is unconstitutional and illegal. Party will decide the next course of action."
