Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi is set to fly to New Delhi on Friday at 5 PM. During the visit, it is said that Governor will discuss matters relating to the order that was put on hold related to the sacking of Minister Senthil Balaji. The Governor is also expected to discuss about the corruption cases of former AIADMK Ministers.

The development came after Tamil Nadu Raj Bhavan contested claims of the DMK government on the matter of according sanction to prosecute former Ministers in the previous AIADMK regime.

On Thursday, an official Raj Bhavan release said: "The media reports have appeared with reference to a letter of the Law Minister of the State Government that sanction for prosecution against the following persons who were Ministers in the previous government B.V. Ramanaa, Dr. C. Vijaya Bhaskar, K.C.Veeramani and M.R. Vijaya Bhaskar are pending with the Raj Bhavan."

"With respect to B.V.Ramanaa and Dr. C. Vijaya Bhaskar, the cases have been investigated by the CBI and these are under legal examination. With respect to the Directorate of Vigilance case against K.C.Veeramani, the same could not be acted upon due to the fact that the State Government has to submit a duly authenticated copy of the Investigation report for further action," he said.

Raj Bhavan has not received any reference or request in respect of MR Vijaya Bhaskar from the State Government, said the release.

The Governor's office reacted a day after Regupathy wrote to RN Ravi asking him to "not delay any further" his approval to prosecute former AIADMK ministers and clear the 13 Bills awaiting his assent.
