On Friday, actor Rajinikanth paid his last respects to Vijayakanth. After paying his respects, he said, "We will never get a person as good as Vijayakanth. In politics and cinema, there is no one like him. This loss is irreplaceable."

"It is unfortunate to lose my beloved friend, it is painful. We all were thinking he would recover from health issues. But when we saw Vijayakanth in the recent DMDK meeting, I lost a little bit of hope.
