In a decisive statement, former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and ousted AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam on Wednesday ruled out the possibility of working with AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami again. He said that he along with his supporters would decide on an alliance once the Parliamentary election dates are notified.

According to ANI, ousted AIADMK leader O Panneerselvam said, "There is no possibility of working together with Edappadi Palaniswami again. I have already said that we can win elections only united, but they are not listening. Once the Parliament elections are announced we will make a decision on alliance."

Earlier this month, Madras HC barred OPS from using the name, flag and symbol of AIADMK. The High Court also prevented the former AIADMK leader from continuing with the claim as coordinator and using the party's letterhead.

The HC gave the order while hearing a Civil Suit filed by AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami. Justice N Sathish Kumar of the Madras HC issued a temporary restraint against O Panneerselvam, preventing him from interfering with party affairs. The court also provided O Panneerselvam with an opportunity to file a counter affidavit in response to Edappadi Palaniswami's civil suit.

This came after a previous decision in August when the Madras High Court declined to intervene in the expulsion of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister O Panneerselvam from AIADMK.

Additionally, back in April, the Election Commission of India officially recognized Edappadi Palaniswami as the General Secretary of AIADMK.
