Chennai: A father and son, who were carrying firecrackers on their two-wheelers, died after the crackers they were carrying in a gunny bag exploded near Chinna Kottakupam between Puducherry and Tamil Nadu. The police identified the deceased as Kalainesan from Ariyankuppam and his son Pradeesh. Both the duo were returning to the Puducherry for selling firecrackers after taking a bag of crackers from Kalainesan’s in-law’s home in Konnimedu at the time of the incident.
