Actor and MNM chief Kamal Haasan donated Vayujal, an atmospheric water generator made by IIT Madras students, to the Institute of Child Health at Egmore in Chennai on his 69th birthday. The 'VayuJal' machine is used to collect humidity from the air and convert it into up to 500 liters of water every day. Using this, the actor-turned-politician said that pure water could be consumed without scarcity.

According to ANI, Actor and MNM chief Kamal Haasan said, "Despite differences, it's time to unite all good people. Ma Subramanian (Tamil Nadu Health Minister), PK Sekar Babu (Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious & Charitable Endowments Minister) and I have come here based on humanity."

"Here a 'VayuJal' machine is placed which we have used for the past two years at Raaj Kamal office and I drink that water. It should be given to children here and used when water scarcity comes," he said.
