Chennai: Kallakurichi victim's mother and father have decided to walk to Chennai on Friday (August 26) to meet Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin for seeking justice for the death of their daughter. A Class 12 girl student in Kallakurichi died under mysterious circumstances on July 13.
According to a report on The New Indian Express, the mother of the girl was in Villupuram to file a petition at a chief judicial magistrate court in Villupuram seeking a copy of the autopsy report and video of the autopsy submitted by JIPMER doctors. Judge Pushparani told the mother to get the copy from the court on Wednesday.
About her decision to go to Chennai on foot, the mother said that her daughter died 43 days ago but the cause of her death has still not come to light. So, she will walk to Chennai with her husband to meet CM. She also said that she will begin the journey on Friday.

About the court proceedings, she said that she got to know that her daughter's 'friends' gave the statement in court but she was not informed about who the two students were.
The mother also questioned the authenticity of the two students and alleged that they might even be imposters set by the school administration.

Meanwhile, the Madras HC on Tuesday ordered Kallakurichi Collector to consider within 10 days, a plea from the school management in Kaniyamoor in Chinnasalem to renovate and carry out repair works and re-open the institution. The petition prayed the court to permit the school to re-open at the earliest in the interest of students numbering over 3,500.
