Earlier, Stalin in a letter to Sukhvinder said that he was anguished to hear about the loss and devastation suffered by the people of the hill state due to the heavy rains and landslides.

Stalin said: “My thoughts are with all those who have been affected by the natural calamity as a token gesture, the government of Tamil Nadu is contributing a sum of Rs 10 crore towards the relief works in your State. Kindly accept the same.”

An earlier official announcement said, Sukhvinder Singh called Stalin and informed him of the damage caused by rain and other related disasters, as well as the government's rescue efforts. Stalin praised the Himachal government's efforts to reach out to the affected people. The CM expressed confidence that under Sukhu's leadership, Himachal Pradesh will "recover and rebuild soon."
