Former AIADMK Minister Rajenthra Bhalaji Still On Run To Avoid Arrest In Job Racket Case

The first complaint in the issue was lodged on November 15 by the owner of an electronics shop S Ravindran who paid Rs 30 lakh to the Minister's associate for getting a post in Aavin. 

Chennai: Former Tamil Nadu AIADMK Minister Rajenthra Bhalaji continues to be on the run after the Madras High Court denied anticipatory bail in a job racket scam, on Monday. Bhalaji is untraceable even as the Tamil Nadu police department has formed a six members team to arrest the AIADMK leader.

According to a report on IANS, Rajenthra Balaji was last seen addressing a public function against the DMK government in Virudhunagar on Friday. However, the police said, the former Minister suddenly escaped once the bail was denied. 

The former AIADMK Minister D Jayakumar told the media on Sunday that Rajenthra Balaji was not hiding but he was getting a legal opinion on making an appeal against the bail rejection in the Madras High Court. 

Earlier, the allegation against the former Minister was that he promised to provide jobs for 23 people in the state-run Aavin, a dairy cooperative while he served as the minister for dairy development in 2016-2021. However, Bhalaji allegedly swindled the money.

Meanwhile, the Madras High Court on Friday dismissed the anticipatory bail petition of former AIADMK Minister Rajenthra Bhalaji by stating that the court is continuously hearing cases of job racketing where innocent people are cheated and lured. The Court said, such incidents make the future of aspirants questionable and they also lose their money and future.
