JD(U) President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's insistence that "only Hindi should be spoken" was tolerated by the DMK for the sake of cordiality within the I.N.D.I.A bloc, according to party leader T R Baalu. According to news agency PTI, on Nitish Kumar's exit from the I.N.D.I.A bloc, Baalu said that it seemed he had "some issues" from the beginning, further asserting that his move would not cause any electoral damage.

Responding to Nitish Kumar's statement that things did not work according to his plan in the I.N.D.I.A bloc, Baalu questioned, "What did he plan? He did not spell out any plan; he said only Hindi should be spoken, and only that (message) remains."

Baalu, a Lok Sabha member, elaborated on Nitish Kumar's demand for Hindi, stating, "He (Nitish Kumar) said everyone should talk in Hindi. We tolerated it. Even then, we kept quiet, as a compromise, for the sake of cordiality in the alliance. It was said that English must not be spoken. This is an ordinary matter (hinting at politics). It is okay", as quoted by PTI.

The DMK leader's reference was to one of the I.N.D.I.A bloc meeting where Nitish Kumar reportedly emphasised the use of Hindi.

DMK organizing secretary R S Bharathi expressed skepticism about Nitish Kumar's continued alliance with the BJP until the Parliament election, describing him as 'fickle-minded,' with a diminished image among the people.

According to PTI, Bharathi credited DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin for initiating efforts to bring together opposition parties at the national level to counter the BJP. He anticipated the success of the I.N.D.I.A. bloc's poll deal in Uttar Pradesh to be replicated in other parts of the nation.

DMK spokesperson J Constandine Ravindran regarded Nitish Kumar's exit from the I.N.D.I.A. bloc as a loss for the BJP and a gain for the opposition alliance. The DMK leaders shared their perspectives after holding discussions on seat-sharing with Congress leaders.
