Chennai: Days after DMK leader Sadai Sadiq made a derogatory remark against women actors who joined BJP including Khusbhu, DMK women's wing president Kanimozhi apologized to Khusbhu and the other women. Kanimozhi said that she apologises for what was said as a woman and human being.


Recently, DMK functionary Sadai Sadiq in a public address made a derogatory comment by calling the actors who joined BJP including Gayatri Raguram, Namitha and Khushbu as "items". He said, BJP depends on the "actresses" to enter Tamil Nadu, unlike DMK. 


Hitting at the leader, Khushbu in a tweet said, “When men abuse women, it just shows wat kind of upbringing they have had & the toxic environment they were brought up in.These men insult the womb of a woman.Such men call themselves followers of #Kalaignar Is this new Dravidian model under H'ble CM @mkstalin rule? @KanimozhiDMK.”

Kanimozhi apologized immediately after the tweet by Khusbhu Sundar.


In a tweet, DMK MP Kanimozhi said, "I apologise as a woman and human being for what was said. This can never be tolerated irrespective of whoever did it, of the space it was said or party they adhere to."
