Chennai: Just ahead of local body polls to nine newly-formed districts in the state, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Sunday said that the DMK-led government has already fulfilled 202 of the 505 promises made before polls within the first four months.
According to a report on IANS, the Chief Minister in a 10-minute video said that he has held the responsibility of the Chief Minister because of the votes of the people and each of the votes has become the foundation for him to occupy the Chief Minister's chair.
Further, the Chief Minister stated that people of the state voted for him with the belief that DMK would fulfill the election promises. He said that he can with pride assure that the government is functioning in a way that does not affect the confidence of the people. He then spoke about how the party kept with most of the promises which has given him a confidence to speak among the people.
The Chief Minister then went on to list the various promises fulfilled in the past four months including the various schemes that were not promised in the manifesto and observing Thanthai Periyar's birthday as Social Justice Day.
