Chennai: A 26-year-old PhD student in Chennai hatched a plan with her boyfriend and stabbed her stalker to death outside a private college on Thursday. The PhD student murdered the 43-year-old stalker since he followed her and threatened to upload their pictures online even after they ended their relationship. 


According to a report on New Indian Express, the deceased was identified as K Senthil from Perambalur who was working as a Physics demonstrator in a well-known engineering college in Chennai. 


On Thursday, the accused Desapriya (26) of Tiruvannamalai, a Physics research scholar of a private college in Kalavakkam on OMR, invited Senthil to her college. She started to talk to him about the issue when Arun Pandian (27) of Ulundurpet, who was also a research scholar at a university in Kattankulathur, joined them.

While the trio was having a conversation, they suddenly entered into a heated fight. In a fit of rage, Arun Pandian and Desapriya took out a knife and slit Senthil's throat. They also stabbed him multiple times. 


Following the crime incident, Kelambakkam police registered a case and started the investigation. During the probe, the duo revealed that they hatched a plan to murder Senthil at a secluded place but they murdered him near the college in a fit of rage.


The police told NIE that Desapriya was reportedly in a relationship with Senthil while she was studying at a University in Kattankulathur. However, she broke up with him during the lockdown after learning that he was married but still Senthil reportedly kept stalking her. 


He also harassed her to marry him even though he was married to another woman who was in his hometown. He also alleged that he will convince his wife to marry Desapriya since the couple did not have a child even after 7 years of their wedding.
