Chennai: Tamil Nadu BJP president K Annamalai on Tuesday challenged the ruling DMK government to arrest him ‘within six hours’ based on the charges levelled against him by DMK organisation secretary RS Bharathi. Earlier, Bharathi charged Annamalai of blackmailing and extorting money from AIADMK leaders.
Addressing reporters at Kamalalayam, Annamalai said, if you (DMK) have "guts" send whole TN police to arrest me.
"I'll be in Kamalalayam till 6.15 pm. If not TN people will not take you seriously," he said.
Unlike DMK, Annamalai said, he would not send defamation notices to DMK "since the party is not worthy for sending such notices".
