On July 6, Madras High Court annulled the election of AIADMK MP OP Ravindranth from Theni. The order was passed by Justice SS Sundar. Ravindranath was the only MP from AIADMK in Lok Sabha.

However, the Court withheld the order's operation in order to facilitate Ravindranath to file an appeal.
