Chennai: The AIADMK executive committee met on Wednesday to appoint an interim presidium chairman after the death of AIADMK leader Madhusudhanan and to discuss other important happenings in Tamil Nadu politics. According to a tweet on ANI, AIADMK appointed Tamil Magan Hussain, who was the secretary of MGR Mandram, as the interim presidium chairman of the party. 






AIADMK also made changes to the bylaws of the party to allow primary members of the party to elect coordinator and joint coordinator by a single vote. 


The party also passed several resolutions including to celebrate the golden jubilee birthday anniversary of former Tamil Nadu CM MG Ramachandran. 


The party passed a resolution to conduct a massive protest if DMK fails to implement the promises mentioned in the manifesto including for the development of underprivileged people, women and children. The resolution said, "DMK should fulfill the manifesto promises made for the welfare of underprivileged and working-class people, women and children. AIADMK members should also insist DMK to release a timeline of when the schemes will be implemented and if those are not implemented within the scheduled time then we should unite the people to conduct a massive protest." 


AIADMK executive committee also took a resolution to insist DMK to stop the crimes taking place across the state. The resolution said, DMK should put an end to the murders, theft, crime against women and a situation wherein there is no safety for the police themselves. Further, the executive committee condemned DMK for failing to uphold the law and order of the state.  


All the more, another resolution by AIADMK told the cadre to insist DMK to distribute the compensation for the people who lost their homes, crops and cattle in the recent rains.


Lastly, the AIADMK executive committee took a resolution to work towards the urban body elections to record a thumping victory.
