AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami said that the party's alliance with BJP remains intact and it will continue in Lok Sabha elections next year.

Speaking to reporters at the Secretariat on Thursday, Edappadi Palaniswami as per The New Indian Express said that BJP is in alliance with AIADMK and it will continue.

He said that they have been telling about it from the beginning, even during the recent Erode East Assembly bypoll 2023. EPS once again reiterated that AIADMK's alliance with BJP will continue in Lok Sabha polls 2024.

The statement of AIADMK comes after Amit Shah said that BJP's alliance with AIADMK will continue. He gave the announcement while participating in a television program on a private channel on Wednesday.

However, it also comes at a time when Tamil Nadu BJP chief Annamalai said that the party should fight Lok Sabha polls 2024 on its own in the state.

The AIADMK and BJP locked horns with each other in the state after BJP members started joining AIADMK.

Initially, BJP state IT wing president CTR Nirmal Kumar quit the party and joined Edappadi Palaniswami-led AIADMK. Later, four BJP officer-bearers quit the BJP and floated to AIADMK.

All the party members who quit the party hit out at Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai. Soon, after the shift, Annamalai kept accusing AIADMK of poaching.

However, Annamalai then said that any party will grow only after people leave. He said that there was a view that the BJP will grow only with the help of Dravidian parties but now it is clear that those parties need people from BJP.

Dravidian parties welcoming BJP members into the party clearly shows the growth of the saffron-party in the state, he said.
