Chennai: Actress Nayanthara has many reasons to be in news these days. There is so much happening in Nayan’s personal and professional life.


The lady superstar has not only gone on a movie spree but also she is trying her hand in other ventures. The 'Viswasam' actor and her beau filmmaker Vignesh Shivan have jointly invested in beverages chain Chai Waale which helped the home-grown brand bag funding of Rs 5 cr.


Talking on the same, Chai Waale, which is a native beverage brand in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) industry, has announced physical store expansion by opening 35 fully functioning shops by the next year.


As per the official statement, this is the second round of funding for the company and it will be spent on the expansion of the chain of quick-service restaurants into Chennai.


Sunil Sethia, Sunil Kumar Singhvi, Manish Mardia, and UNI-M Network are the other angel investors who assisted the beverage raise funding.


The outlet is planning to set up stores at Metro stations and malls including places with high footfalls. The restaurant will have the tea and snack needs of the entire family.

The beverage chain has also added soups, momos, samosa, and an additional range of sandwiches to its menu lately and plans to introduce ice tea and desserts in near future.

Meanwhile, the southern beauty has reportedly bagged Netflix’s period drama, 'Baahubali: Before The Beginning'. However, the makers are yet to confirm the news.
