The incident took place while senior DMK leaders including Kanimozhi, Thamizhachi Thangapandian, Ma Subramaniam and MLA Prabhakar Raja were taking part in the event.

The event was conducted to celebrate the centenary year of former DMK general secretary Anbazhagan.

Following the harassment, the woman gave a complaint to the Valasaravakkam police station against the duo.
