New Delhi: Amid the controversy surrounding an alleged sting operation released by TMC claiming the Sandeshkhali incident, BJP Lok Sabha candidate from Basirhat Rekha Patra reacted and called it a tactic of the ruling TMC. A video purportedly released by TMC showed the BJP mandal president from Sandeshkhali, who was heard saying that the leader of the opposition in the West Bengal assembly Suvendu Adhikari is behind the whole conspiracy.
Rekha Patra told news agency ANI, "This is a tactic by the TMC...Gangadhar (BJP Mandal president) must have been scared into making this video. I would say that this video incident is completely a conspiracy by the TMC."
Meanwhile, Gangadhar Kayl, BJP Mondal Sabhapati of Sandeshkhali II, penned a letter addressed to the CBI Director, drawing attention to the alleged sting video circulating on an unverified YouTube channel. He claimed AI misuse to make a "misleading" video showing his face. The letter reads, "I have come across a video uploaded from an unverified YouTube channel namely “Williams” where it can be seen that the same has been made using my face and the voice has been moduled using Artificial Intelligence (AI) so that it can mislead the public at large against the Sandeshkhali incident".
"It is stated that there are reasons to believe that the said video is nothing but a product of conspiracy hatched by Abhishek Banerjee in association with iPac using the voice modulation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in order to safeguard the actual culprits of Sandeshkhali incidents by shifting the blame and the burden to the person who stood by the victims of the Sandeshkhali incident and also to disturb the ongoing investigation conducted by the CBI," he added.

TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee Claims Conspiracy Hatched From Delhi Just To Defame Bengal
TMC General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee has reiterated the party's stance, stating that the conspiracy originated from Delhi with the intention of defaming Bengal. He said, " We have been saying from day 1 that this conspiracy was hatched from Delhi just to defame Bengal for no reason...I can understand that BJP is fighting against TMC but...you can continue fighting without defaming the 10 crore people of the state. Now since things are clear and this information is out in the public domain, I think we should leave it to the judgement and wisdom of the people to decide. I am sure people will give a befitting reply to BJP whom we have referred to as 'Bangla virodhi' time and again", as quoted by ANI.
Notably, Suvendu Adhikari has dismissed the allegation as he claimed that the truth has been "twisted". He posted on X, "The truth can be twisted and a misleading version can be circulated. However it's shelf life is very very short. Ultimately, Truth prevails. Next time, keep it in mind, Koyla Bhaipo".
