West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said on Saturday that the Judiciary is an important temple for us, just like 'mandir, masjid, gurudwara, and girjaghar’. She further stated that the judiciary is the supreme authority for delivering justice to the people. Banerjee was speaking at a conference on Contemporary Judicial Development in Kolkata.

During her address, she said, “Judiciary is an important temple for us. It is just like ‘mandir, masjid, gurudwara and girjaghar’. It is our supreme authority for delivering justice to the people. I believe this judiciary is of the people, for the people, by the people.”

During the event, the West Bengal CM underscored that she has no intention to humiliate anyone and that it is her kind submission to see that there is no political bias in the judiciary. "It is not my intention to humiliate anyone but my kind submission that please see that there is no political biasness in judiciary. Judiciary must be absolutely pure, honest, sacred," she said.

Mamata Banerjee said, "All those who are in the judiciary are an asset to the country and the world... There is no political bias in the judiciary. It must be pure, honest, sacred and people should worship it."
