The father of Naib Imam Saad, who was killed in a late-night attack by a mob on a mosque in Gurugram’s Sector 57, spoke to All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi. In a video shared on Twitter, Imam Saad’s father can be seen having a telephonic conversation with Owaisi. During the conversation with AIMIM MP, Naib Imam Saad's father, Mushtaq, said, "We are being targeted, clerics are being targeted, bearded people are being targeted, they do not allow street vendors." Where is the justice in this?"

In response, Owaisi said, "You are absolutely right." Mushtaq further said, "if we will not wear kurta pyjamas, then should we wear British dress?" At the end of the conversation, Owaisi consoled Imam’s father and said, "We will come and meet you there, we will fight and speak."

Mobs killed a cleric in a late-night attack on a mosque, torched an eatery and vandalised shops as communal violence that began in Haryana’s Nuh spilled over into neighbouring Gurugram. According to PTI, people also blocked a road and downed shutters over the attack on a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession in Nuh a day earlier, and a ‘panchayat’ targeted Muslims as the district adjoining the national capital remained on edge.

Apart from Gurugram, violence was also reported from Palwal district where a mob set over 25 huts in Parshuram Colony on fire. Police said nobody was hurt. According to the police, Molotov cocktails were thrown at two mosques in Nuh on Wednesday night.
