A violent clash broke out between Bharatiya Janata Party, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) workers and Cops after some policemen allegedly misbehaved with RSS Zila Pracharak Manoj Kumar, while he was taking a bath at a bathing venue of the Yamuna river in the Kumbh mela near Uttar Pradesh's Vrindavan. The incident took place on Saturday.


According to the reports, Kumar after taking bath in Yamuna river at the Kumbh fair crossed over the railing. To this, the police raised objection asking him to not go into the river. Soon, a scuffle broke out between the supporters and the police.

A video of the alleged incident is making rounds on the social media where some youths are seen entering into an altercation with the cops. One of the men is also seen attacking a cop on his back with a helmet. In another videos, some women are seen arguing with the police and even trying to hit officials with slippers.

The reported claimed that members of RSS, BJP and other outfits gathered in large numbers and held a protest against the alleged misbehaviour of the policemen with them.


This forced the senior administrative and police officials to intervene and calm them. Mathura's SSP Gaurav Grover, in presence of District Magistrate Navneet Singh Chahal reportedly assured prove and strict action against the culprits.
