UP Assembly Elections 2022: In a spat of words that is gaining weightage as Uttar Pradesh walks near assembly elections, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav said that Lord Krishna comes in his dream every day to tell him that he will form a government in UP and establish Ram-Rajya in the state.
Yadav was speaking at an event organised to induct BJP's Nanpara MLA Madhuri Verma into Samajwadi Party. Verma is from the Kumri community and is a second-time MLA. She was also a member of the Legislative Assembly from 2010 to 2012.
Yadav said in a casual manner that Lord Krishna comes in his dreams every day and tells him that he will form a government in UP. He also added that the Lord tells him that “The way to Ram Rajya is through the path of samajwad (socialism). The day samajwad is established, the "Ram Rajya" will be set up in the state.”
Taking a jibe at UP CM Yogi Adityanath, he said that he has failed the state and nobody can make him pass this time. He added that BJP has made “a man facing several heinous criminal cases the UP chief minister.”
He also said that there were many veteran leaders in BJP who had worked hard for the party and suddenly Yogi Adityanath was brought to power. “Many BJP leaders who have grown old, who have been sweating it out for strengthening the party often say, it was us who were toiling hard, but all of a sudden he was brought and made to sit on top of us,” he said.
Who Will Contest Elections From Where?
On questions of where would Yadav contest elections from, he said he would contest from where his party tells him to. Making a reference to speculations of Yogi Adityanath contesting from Mathura, he said that wherever he stands from, he will be surrounded by people, he will be asked as to why all the promises, including providing employment and doubling up the income of farmers, have not been fulfilled. He took a jibe saying,
“Everyone knows that when a son is not able to pass the examination, sometimes parents and uncles too try to assist him by copying. Our 'Baba' Chief Minister has failed. Now no one can get him through and even those who try to do that will not be able to do so .”
