New Delhi: In a fresh row, the Income Tax department has raided NCR builder Ajay Chaudhary a close aide of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. The I-T department's Noida division conducted raids at the properties of real estate company ACE group on multiple locations including its headquarters in NCR. The searches are being conducted at various divisions of the ACE group in Noida, Agra, and Delhi.

CMD of ACE group Ajay Chaudhary is commonly known as Sanju Nagar as only a handful of people call him by his real name. He is considered to be a close aide of Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, just like Rahul Bhasin whose house was recently raided by the I-T department.

According to ABP News sources, the income tax papers filed by Chaudhary were in disparity with the papers found during the raid. The I-T department is raiding 40 different locations related to the ACE group. However, the I-T officials have not given a statement yet.

The ACE Group is a real estate developer in Northern India with its headquarters in Noida. There are chances that more people related to Ajay Chaudhary might be raided in the coming days.

According to ABP News sources, there are estimates of crores of tax evasion and it is being said that the I-T department can raid more of Akhilesh Yadav's allies.

The I-T raids in Uttar Pradesh have increased as the state is weeks ahead of assembly elections. After a raid at the perfume businessman and SP MLC Pushparaj Jain, Akhilesh Yadav had said that BJP was misusing central agencies as they were afraid of losing the upcoming elections.

Yadav had claimed that the raid against Pushparaj Jain was an effort from the BJP to rectify their mistake of raiding Piyush Jain whom Yadav claimed to be a BJP financier.
