New Delhi: A woman's body was found wrapped in polythene and stuffed inside a trolley bag kept on a service road of the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura on Friday, news agency PTI reported.
According to Superintendent of Police (Rural) Trigun Bisen, the body was wrapped in polythene and kept inside a red trolley bag. The woman is yet to be identified and she seems to be 22 years old, the police officer said.
Bisen said after information was received about the bag on the service road near the Agricultural Research Centre in Raya, police seized it in the afternoon.
Circle Officer Alok Singh said information about the incident has been sent to the police stations of all nearby districts and the body has been sent for post mortem. Efforts to identify the victim is underway, he added.

As per the report, the bag was first spotted by some labourers working in the nearby field.
Police suspect that the girl was shot dead and later her body was stuffed inside the bag which was found on the road. They also found injury marks on her body. Two sarees were also found in the bag, police said.
The police suspect the killer or killers must have killed the woman somewhere else and dumped her body near the Yamuna expressway, which doesn't see much traffic at night.

This incident comes close on the heels of the gruesome murder of Shraddha Walkar, who was killed by her live-in partner Aftab Poonawal in May this year. As per reports, he allegedly killed her and chopped her body into 34 pieces that he disposed of across Delhi over several days.
