Uttar Pradesh: Bride In Auraiya Refuses To Marry Groom After Finding Out He Can't Read Without Glasses

The bride, Archana, said that her parents were deceived as they were not informed that there was a problem with the groom's eyesight. The father of the bride told that he had suffered a loss of about Rs 5 lakh.

Auraiya: In the Auraiya district of Uttar Pradesh, the bride called off the marriage due to the groom's weak eyesight. The father of the bride told that he had suffered a loss of about Rs 5 lakh. FIR has been registered but the police are yet to take an action.

The bride, Archana, said that her parents were deceived and they were told that there was an issue with the guy's vision. On the day of the Baraat procession, it was found that he won't be able to walk at all if the glasses were removed. "We want our valuables back," she revealed.

Archana also claimed that the groom failed to read the newspaper without his prescription glasses.

Bride calls off wedding after noticing groom's medical illness

Last week, the Baraat procession that arrived in Uttar Pradesh from a village under KuchaIkote Police Station in the Gopalganj district of Bihar had to return without a bride. In an interesting turn of events, 15 people, including the groom, were taken hostage in Uttar Pradesh. This matter reached the police station, but somehow it was resolved.

It was reported that the rituals were being performed after the Baraat procession reached. When the ceremony of 'Sindoor Daan' was happening, the bride's family noticed that the groom suffers from some kind of illness because his hands were violently shaking. After this, the bride refused to marry, accusing the boy of illness. Before people could understand things clearly the groom and his family members were taken as hostages.
