New Delhi: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra who released the youth manifesto of the party on Friday confirmed to the reporters during the press conference that she is the CM face for Congress in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Election 2022.
Reporters asked Priyanka Gandhi Vadra that who is the Chief Ministerial candidate for the Congress party to which she replied, "Is there anybody else?" She then said, " you can see my face everywhere, that is the answer."
On being asked if she will contest the upcoming UP Polls, she answered that it has not been decided yet.
Vadra also answered the question of the Congress party's possible alliance with other parties in the near future and said that they can discuss such situations post result if there is a possibility to fulfill their agenda with other parties.
Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Friday released the Congress' manifesto for the youth of Uttar Pradesh ahead of the assembly elections, saying only the party can give a new vision to the youth in the state.
Addressing a press conference at the launch of the 'youth manifesto, Vadra said the biggest problem in the state is recruitment and the youth are disappointed.
She said her party in UP wants the focus to be on development and not on negative propaganda based on caste or communalism that is going around.
The party is going to the polls with a focus on youth and women and has announced that it will reserve 40 per cent of tickets for women in Uttar Pradesh.
Polling for the 403-member Uttar Pradesh Assembly is scheduled to be held in seven phases from February 10 to March 7 and the counting of votes will be held on March 10.
