Union Minister and Uttar Pradesh BJP election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan today held a special meeting in Moradabad on Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. The meeting was attended by party functionaries and public representatives from Moradabad as well as Karnal MP and Uttar Pradesh BJP co-election in charge, Sanjay Bhatia.
According to sources, Dharmendra Pradhan is reviewing the preparations for the upcoming assembly elections with party functionaries and public representatives at the meeting and discussions are also on about possible party candidates.
Feedback from party leaders
The BJP is working on its strategy for the Uttar Pradesh elections. Yesterday's meeting is considered very important as farmers in western Uttar Pradesh are considered to be 'upset' with the BJP over agricultural laws, so UP BJP's election in-charge Dharmendra Pradhan is trying to gauge the election atmosphere in western UP by meeting only 25 leaders, and taking feedback from party leaders, regarding the attitude of farmers in Moradabad and adjoining districts.
It is also believed that the BJP has already advised its leaders to go to the field and work in the field to persuade angry farmers. Uttar Pradesh BJP election in-charge and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's meeting also includes two people's representatives from Rampur and Sambhal districts along with Moradabad. Dharmendra Pradhan was seen avoiding media questions when reporters tried to talk to Dharmendra Pradhan on reaching Moradabad
