Jinnah Controversy: SP has demanded the resignation of UP Minister Anand Swaroop Shukla over a controversial statement made by him.
Samajwadi Party (SP) workers have been creating a lot of outrage UP Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Anand Swaroop Shukla made a controversial statement over Samajwadi Party (SP) National President, Akhilesh Yadav . SP workers have been raising slogans and have demanded dismissal of the MoS and a case to be registered against him.
SP workers staged a protest against Shukla's controversial statement outside the Collectorate's premises at the District headquarters on Friday. They raised slogans against the Minister of State and submitted a memorandum to the district administration to file a case against him.

"Akhilesh gets protection from ISI":
While speaking to reporters at his residence on Tuesday night, Shukla had claimed that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath continues to be a challenge to the Islamic world while SP national president Akhilesh Yadav is being fully supported by them. He had also claimed that Akhilesh was being protected and directed by Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. MoS Shukla had said, "SP may be getting financial help from the ISI and Akhilesh is glorifying Jinnah at their behest."
Controversy over Akhilesh's statement:
In a public meeting held on the occasion of Sardar Patel's 146th birth anniversary last Sunday, SP President Akhilesh Yadav had reportedly said that Sardar Patel, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Jinnah studied in the same institution, became barristers, and helped India get independence, while never shying away from the struggle.
