Gyanvapi Mosque: Devotees reached the premises of the Gyanvapi Mosque to offer prayers after 31 years following an order of a Varanasi court permitting the Hindu side to offer prayers in the 'Vyas Ka Tehkhana' area inside the Gyanvapi Mosque complex, starting Thursday. Security personnel have been deployed around the Gyanvapi complex in Varanasi in anticipation of devotees arriving at the mosque to offer prayers.






After the court granted permission for puja in the 'Vyas Ka Tekhana', a devotee said, "We all come here by 3-3:00 am every day for darshan...We are extremely happy and emotional with the court's order. Our happiness knows no bounds."






Jitendra Nath Vyas, a member of the Vyas family who has been allowed to offer prayers inside the mosque, said, " We are very happy that we have got the permission to resume puja there. At the time of the puja (yesterday), 5 priests of the (Kashi Vishwanath) temple trust, members of the Vyas family, Varanasi DM and Commissioner were present there."
