The district administration on Thursday carried out a demolition drive at a shopping complex owned by SP leader and Ayodhya gangrape accused Moid Khan, which authorities claimed was illegally constructed. As per India TV report, authorities demolished one-third of his shopping complex.
Earlier, authorities confirmed that the shopping complex, owned by Khan and constructed on illegally occupied government land, will be demolished. They also said that the complex has been vacated and a bulldozer is slated to take place over the illegally constructed building today.

Ayodhya police in July arrested Moid Khan, who ran a bakery in Bhadarsa Nagar of Purakalandar police station area of the district, and his employee Raju Khan for allegedly raping the 12-year-old girl two months ago and recording the act.
Meanwhile, security has been intensified for the Ayodhya gang rape victim, who, along with her family, has been relocated to a home in Bhadarsa town after undergoing a medical termination of pregnancy at King George's Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow.
Officials reported that over 30 well-equipped and armed police officers, including female constables, are now stationed around the clock to ensure the safety of the victim and her family, who have been under constant threat.
A senior police officer previously stated that a robust security presence is being maintained to ensure the victim's safety and uphold law and order in the area.
Gang Rape Incident
The 12-year-old victim was working as a daily wage worker in a bakery shop who was raped by her owner and employee for more than two months. As per CNBC TV18, the incident occurred in the Purakalandar police station area of Ayodhya district, in the town of Bhadarsa. Moid Khan has been identified as the main suspect, with Raju Khan as his accomplice. Both were later taken into custody.
Moid Khan is a member of the Samajwadi Party and serves as the city president of the party in Bhadarsa. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that Moid also acted as an aide to Awadhesh Prasad, the MP for Faizabad.
