"More than two dozen villages and their agriculture have been badly affected due to the breach of a part of the Sharda Sahayak Canal in Sitapur. The BJP government should wake up from its slumber and come forward to protect the lives and property of the people, leaving aside the politics of mutual conflict in this emergency, "he said in a post on X.

Akhilesh Accuses BJP Of Corruption

He also took a dig over the pothole video on the Farrukhabad-Aliganj-Etah road, accusing the BJP of corruption stating that the funds meant for repairs were instead used to line the pockets of BJP MLAs. "This is the pothole-filled Farrukhabad-Aliganj-Etah road, the funds for making it pothole-free were used to fill the potholes in the pockets of BJP MLAs," he also said in another post on X.

"Look at it carefully for the last time because when this news from SP comes in front of BJP government, then you will see that from tomorrow itself this road will start getting repaired. We are saying this with the hope that there may be no public shame in the shameless eyes of the corrupt but there will be some fear of the public in their hearts, " further stated.
