Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday addressed BJP supporters and party workers in West Bengal at the Kshetriya Panchayati Raj Parishad. During the address, he launched a scathing attack on Trinamool Congress (TMC) and said, "What's their strategy to win elections? First, change the date for polls. Then ensure that none of the BJP candidates get to fill up the nomination forms. Use any means necessary to stop BJP candidates from doing so."

"If, by chance, BJP candidates succeed, TMC workers would stop them from campaigning. They will try to scare the voters and even scare the relatives of BJP members," he said.

PM Modi further alleged, "During polling, they give contracts to goons and have them run away with ballots and ballot boxes. During the counting of the votes, the TMC forced BJP members out of the office, and did not let them even watch. When BJP won despite all this, they took out rallies against our members."

He also took a jibe at the Opposition over the No-Confidence Motion that they raised and said, "We defeated the opposition's no-confidence motion in Parliament and gave a befitting reply to those spreading negativity in the entire nation. The members of the opposition left Parliament mid-way. The truth is that they were scared of voting on the no-confidence motion."
