Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam is a reflection of PM Modi’s efforts to unite the nation in past 9 years, said Union Minister Piyush Goyal at Veraval on Saturday. Piyush Goyal addressed the press while welcoming the people who reached Veraval for attending Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam.
After the welcome, Piyush Goyal said, “I'm very happy to welcome all the women from Tamil Nadu who have reached here for Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam. This program (Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam) reflects the true spirit of oneness, togetherness, and greatness.”

“PM Modi's efforts to unite the nation in the past 9 years are reflected today in this program. PM Modi and HM Amit Shah gave an appreciatable new form to Somnath. This revival of Kashi-Somnath is an example of the growing India and upcoming developed India,” he said.
Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam is an initiative of the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' program and it is an exercise to improve the exchange between individuals from diverse regions. It also aims to promote rich culture of Saurashtra and Tamil Nadu.
Saurashtra Tamil Sangamam is being held in Gujarat from April 17-30, 2023. The event includes cultural performances including classical dance, folk music, Ramayana and Mahabharata seminars. The event is scheduled to take place at locations including Somnath Swarka and Statue of Unity at Kevadia.
