Rajasthan Assembly Elections: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday took a dig at the Congress party while addressing a public rally in Bharatpur and said that gold is coming out of Congress's locker and it is not made up of potatoes. He remarked that the Congress party has completely drowned the state in corruption, adding: "We have seen black money and looted gold coming out of lockers in Jaipur".

He mentioned that while parties and candidates often claim they worked hard but the outcome relies on luck during elections, the Rajasthan Congress is concerned about their lockers. “They are losing sleep, fearing that Modi is opening up lockers. Congress ke locker se sona nikal raha hai aur ye aloo se bana hua sona nahi hai, asli sona hai” (Gold is being pulled out of Congress's lockers, not made of potatoes but real gold.)

He asserted that all this gold and black money have been stolen or looted from the citizens of Rajasthan.

He criticised the Congress for failing to protect the state’s women, alleging that the party had broken their trust. PM Modi questioned whether a chief minister who claims that women file fake rape cases can protect them.

“Congress has shattered the trust of women in the state. Can the CM safeguard the women of the state when he himself claims that women file fake rape cases? Such a misogynistic party should be held accountable,” exclaimed PM Modi.

He further stated that Congress ministers have a 'low mentality' toward women in the state, adding, “They claim that (rape) is happening because Rajasthan is a land of men.”

PM Modi emphasised that it was the Congress's responsibility to safeguard the life and property of every citizen. However, in the last five years, crimes and atrocities against women, Dalits, tribals, and the underprivileged have increased, he said. "People cannot peacefully celebrate any festival - be it Holi, Ramnavmi, or Hanuman Jayanti - due to riots, stone pelting, and continued curfews in the state," the Prime Minister said.

In his address, the Prime Minister highlighted that while India is progressing as a global leader, Congress has made “Rajasthan a leader in corruption, riots, and crimes.”

“On one hand, India is becoming a world leader. On the other hand, you all know what happened in Rajasthan in the last five years. Congress has made Rajasthan a leader in corruption, riots, and crimes. That's why Rajasthan is saying 'Jadugar Ji Kauni Mile Vote Ji',” the PM asserted.

Modi stated that the BJP has issued a wonderful resolution letter in Rajasthan. "The BJP's resolution aims to make Rajasthan the leading state in the country, combat corruption rigorously, and create a safe environment for sisters and daughters. He assured that the Bharatiya Janata Party would fulfil all promises made to the people of Rajasthan," the PM said.

200 assembly seats of Rajasthan will go to polls on Nov 25 in a single phase.
