New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi attacks Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his alleged link with Gautam Adani and said, "he doesn't realise that the absolute last thing I am scared of is Narendra Modi," reported news agency ANI. "PM thinks he is very powerful & people will get scared of him. PM doesn’t realise the absolute last thing I’m scared of is Narendra Modi. It doesn’t matter if he is the PM of India. Because one day he will be forced to face his truth," said Rahul.
Meanwhile, Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi paid a visit to the home of a tribal man who was found dead recently near the Kozhikode medical college.
On February 11, Vishwanathan, 46, was discovered hanging near the medical college hospital in Kozhikode, where his wife was being treated for labor.
Gandhi, who arrived at the Kozhikode airport on Sunday night, and party leaders went to the home of Vishwanathan in the Wayanad district this morning after the family suspected foul play in the death of the tribal man.
Gandhi, who sits in the Lok Sabha for the Wayanad constituency, spent some time with the family at Paravayal Colony, where he consoled them and listened to their woes and complaints.
Gandhi went to visit the family and said that Vishwanathan had been the victim of a mob trial and that a thorough investigation should be done into the incident. "Viswanathan's family should get justice," he wrote in a Malayalam tweet that was shared on his Lok Sabha office account.
Vishwanathan's family had previously claimed that the injuries on his body did not indicate suicide. They said that a group of people attacked Vishwanathan, accusing him of stealing.
The case has been the subject of an in-depth investigation, according to the police. A police officer has stated, "We are collecting CCTV visuals to gather evidence in connection with the alleged incident."
Gandhi continued his visit to his constituency by meeting the Kaithangu project's beneficiaries and attending a DISHA meeting, a district development coordination and monitoring committee, as well as a meeting.
"One and a half years ago, we set out on a mission to build houses for those in severe need. Today, we are humbled to hand over the houses to 25 remarkable beneficiaries whose lives exemplify bravery and resilience in the face of adversity. I thank our party workers & leaders, and the UDF for their tireless work in making this mission successful," Gandhi posted on his Facebook page.
After attending the DISHA meeting and an 'Aspirational Districts' programme review meeting to take stock of the district's development activities, the Congress leader said he felt proud of the wonderful work that the district administration is doing, "which made Wayanad No. 1 in India" in the 'Aspirational Districts' programme last October.
He shared photos of the events he had attended alongside the caption, "It is our constant & collective endeavour to ensure the best quality of life for our people."
After successfully completing the over 4,000-kilometer Bharat Jodo Yatra on January 30 from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, this was Gandhi's first visit to his constituency.
On Sunday, Gandhi received a warm welcome from party leaders and employees outside the Kozhikode International Airport.
