Prayagraj, Hocky Players Welcome & Promotion: Gurjit Kaur and Nisha Warsi, two players from the Indian women's hockey team that made history at the Tokyo Olympics, work in the railways in Sangam Nagari Prayagraj. Both Gurjit and Nisha reached Prayagraj for the first time today after returning from the Olympics. Both these players were given a warm welcome by the Railways here.
Flowers were showered on them throughout their journey from railway colony to the zonal headquarters. The band tunes of railway police force were also presented in welcoming to the two players. The two women players were specially welcomed amidst patriotic tunes being played on the band.
Other railway officials including North Central Railway Zone GM Pramod Kumar honored Gurjit and Nisha with commendation. It was informed at the function that the Railways is going to give a special gift to Gurjit and Nisha, who have made their country proud at the Olympics. Both were currently posted as senior clerks, but the Railways are now in the process of making them officers. Both of them will be posted to the post of OSD. Formal processes have been started and soon both the players will get the gift of promotion to the post of officer.
Both the players are extremely happy with the gift which railways. is going to give them. They says they can never forget the love and respect they received from the PM and the CM as well as the people of the country. The railway department in which they work, that is going to promote them and make them officer, so it's going to double her happiness.

Gurjit and Nisha told ABP Ganga channel that after the indian women's hockey team's amazing performance in the Olympics, there has been a huge craze among girls for the national sport. It seems that women's hockey has a very good future in the country and the country will definitely be able to win medals in the upcoming Olympics and also in other international events with even better performances. Gurjit and Nisha looked extremely happy with the special honour they received in their job city of Prayagraj. They say that respect at home is more important. On this occasion, Gurjit and Nisha's railway coach Pushpa Srivastava was also honored.
