A 19-year-old MBBS student from the Jamnagar district of Gujarat lost his life after suffering a heart attack while exercising at a gym on Tuesday. A first-year medical student, Kishan Manek collapsed suddenly during his workout. The incident was captured on a CCTV camera installed at the gym.

Manek was rushed to a hospital, but doctors declared him dead. According to India Today, Manek was the son of Hemant Manek, a deputy engineer with the state-run power distribution company Paschim Gujarat Vij Company Ltd (PGVCL) in Jamnagar.

This is just the latest in a series of incidents where young people have died after collapsing suddenly, with heart attacks often being the diagnosis.

College Student Dies In Chennai Pub

On Saturday night, a 22-year-old first-year MBA student collapsed and died at a pub in the Nungambakkam area of Tamil Nadu's Chennai district. According to the Times of India, Police identified the deceased as Mohammad Suhail and confirmed that he was a student at a private college in Ramapuram.

The police said that Suhail, along with three women friends, arrived at the pub around 9 pm. They spent the night dancing and socialising in the pub.

While eating and chatting with his friends, Suhail suddenly began sweating profusely and reported to his friends that he was feeling unwell. Moments later, he collapsed on the floor. His friends and the pub staff rushed him to Govt Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital (KMCH), where he was declared dead on arrival. The Teynampet police were notified of the incident, and they sent the body for a postmortem examination.

A case of suspicious death has been registered, and a detailed investigation is under way. Doctors suspect that Suhail may have suffered a cardiac arrest, although his parents informed the police that he had no known medical history of such issues. His friends said he did not consume alcohol at the pub.

Teynampet Inspector Senthil Murugan said, "We have sent samples for chemical analysis, and the exact cause of death will be determined once we receive the results." The police are also going through CCTV footage from the pub to gather more information about the events leading up to the death of the boy. Suhail, originally from Sivaganga district, had been staying in a hostel near his college.
