The swearing-in ceremony of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister-designate Mohan Yadav, along with Deputy Chief Minister-designates Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda, is scheduled to take place in Bhopal on December 13 (Wednesday).










Mohan Yadav represents the Ujjain Dakshin constituency in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly.


He was elected to the same seat for the first time in 2013. He was elected to the same assembly seat in 2018 and 2023.


Shivraj Singh Chouhan's government also includes Mohan Yadav as a cabinet minister.


Mohan Yadav was victorious in the 2023 elections by over 13000 votes.


Mohan Yadav was born on March 25, 1965, according to the Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha website. He was born in the city of Ujjain. Poonamchand Yadav is his father's name. Click here to read more.

Outgoing finance minister and two-term MLA Jagdish Devda of Mandsaur and outgoing public relations minister MLA Rajendra Shukla of Rewa have been named deputy chief ministers.


Narendra Singh Tomar, a former union agriculture minister, has been elected speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Assembly.


Mohan Yadav belongs to the other backward caste. With his appointment, the BJP hopes to woo the OBC community, which accounts for more than half of Madhya Pradesh's electorate.


Mohan Yadav has a good public image and the support of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.


He is also involved in the wrestling associations in his state.
