New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a scathing critique of the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc during a poll rally in Chatra, Jharkhand,condemning their alleged disrespect towards President Droupadi Murmu following her visit to Ayodhya's Ram temple. The PM said the Congress will get fewer seats than the age of its ‘shehzada'.


PM Modi slammed the Congress party, accusing them of having an outdated mentality reminiscent of the 18th century. He condemned the opposition's response to President Droupadi Murmu's visit to the Ram temple, stating that they insulted her by discussing the cleaning of the temple.  The remark was in reference to Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole saying the Ram Mandir will be purified by Shankracharyas after the I.N.D.I.A. government comes to power. More On It: ‘Shankaracharyas Will Purify Ram Temple After I.N.D.I.A. “Tribals converted Ayodhya's Prince Ram into ‘Maryada Purushottam’ Ram during the 14-year ‘vanvas’ (exile); We worship tribals for this, but the JMM-Congress are not able to digest this respect", he said.


Addressing a poll rally at Chatra, PM Modi also claimed that leaders within the opposition alliance were strategising to merge smaller parties post the Lok Sabha polls in an attempt to secure opposition status, reported PTI.


"Congress will get fewer seats than the age of its 'shehzada', the PM said, in an apparent reference to Rahul Gandhi, and added that the bloc “has already accepted defeat”.

During his address, PM Modi expressed confidence in the formation of NDA governments in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, and Arunachal Pradesh, where simultaneous assembly polls were being held. He further said that the opposition would fail to secure even 50 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.


PM Modi emphasised the significance of each individual's vote, highlighting how it provided him with the opportunity to serve the nation and appoint a tribal woman as the President of the country. “Your one vote will stop anti-national forces, he said.


Modi also alleged that the I.N.D.I.A bloc has plans to “hand over the country's assets to Muslims”, and the OBC/SC/ST reservations to the coalition’s vote bank. He said infiltration was on the rise in Jharkhand and that the infiltrators were grabbing the land of dalits and adivasis.


Prime Minister Modi took a swipe at the JMM-led alliance in Jharkhand, urging the people to safeguard the nation from the alleged corruption of the JMM and Congress. He highlighted recent instances of corruption, citing the discovery of large sums of cash at the residence of a minister's personal secretary.


PM Modi Accuses Jharkhand Govt Of Obstructing Central Schemes


Assuring swift action, PM Modi asserted his ability to hold corrupt officials accountable and promised to take decisive measures to address corruption in Jharkhand.


The PM said he was born in a poor family and did not want any poor child to sleep empty stomach, which is why he “ensured ration to 80 crore people”.


PM Modi levied serious allegations against the Jharkhand government, accusing it of obstructing the distribution of central ration supplies meant for the poor and engaging in corruption, particularly in schemes like the 'Jal Jeevan Mission'.


He further criticised the state government for allegedly promoting the opium trade as its only industry, suggesting that such policies were aimed at appeasement rather than the welfare of future generations.

PM Modi also slammed the JMM for failing to deliver on its promise of creating 5 lakh jobs, asserting that the regional party and Congress were not committed to the progress of tribal and poor children. PM Modi pledged to provide opportunities for youth to pursue careers as doctors and engineers, highlighting his vision for empowering the younger generation.
