The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) are set to hold a significant coordination meeting in Palakkad, Kerala, from 31st August to 2nd September. This meeting holds increased importance following the recent elections. BJP National President and Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda and Organisation Secretary B.L. Santhosh are expected to attend the meeting. The agenda is anticipated to focus on various organisational strategies. The RSS has significant ground presence in the Left-ruled state.

Kerala BJP President Thanks Modi For Rescue Efforts In Landslide-Hit Wayanad
Meanwhile, Kerala BJP President K. Surendran on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for rescue operation underway in Wayanad after a rain-induced landslide killed over 100 people.
He shared a post by the Indian Army's Southern Command that stated, "In all, four columns with Medical Aid Posts have reached the site. Areas affected are - Vellarimela, Muppidi, Mundekkai, Chooralmala, Attamala and Noolpuzha. More than 150 persons have been evacuted to safety. Rescue efforts in other locations underway."
"Two additional relief columns, including medical teams from Trivandrum, are being airlifted to Calicut by Indian Air Force aircraft AN-32 and C-130. An AN-32 aircraft with one column on board has reached Calicut at 5 PM, and coordination for further movement from Calicut to the affected sites is being coordinated with the Kerala State Government's assistance," it added.
The Army stated that the Engineer Task Force (ETF) from Madras Engineers Group including JCB & TATRA and One set of 110 feet T/S Bailey Bridge and flood relief store were underway from Bangalore to the mishap site.
Movement of 110 Feet bridging equipment from Delhi with the help of C-17 was underway, it informed. Three sniffer dogs were also mobilised to the site.
